The short version
Everything you see in Anonium — the hooded Nymous characters, the name, the logo, the interface, the illustrations and the words on this site — was made by us. You are welcome to talk about Anonium, screenshot it, review it and link to it. You may not put our characters or our name on things you sell.
What we own
The following are the original work of Modullium and are protected as intellectual property:
- the Nymous characters — the hooded figures, their faces, poses, outfits, accessories and every variation of them, whether or not shown publicly;
- the Anonium and Modullium names, wordmarks and logos, including the mask device used as the app icon;
- the app’s interface, screens, layout, iconography, illustrations and animations;
- this website, its design, its code and its written content;
- the wording of our product copy, onboarding text and policy pages; and
- the source code of the app, the website and the service behind them.
The Nymous characters
The Nymous characters are original artistic works, drawn for Anonium. They are not stock art, not generated from a template and not adapted from anyone else’s design.
A character is protected as a character. Redrawing one in a different colour, pose, outfit or style, or producing something recognisably based on it, does not make it a new work — it remains a derivative of ours and still needs our permission.
This applies to the whole cast, including characters not yet released publicly.
Copyright
Copyright in these works arose automatically when they were created and is owned by Modullium. Registration is not required for copyright to exist, and no notice on this page creates or extends it — the page simply states plainly what is already the case, so nobody can claim they were unaware.
Our works are dated by their creation and publication records. Copyright is recognised internationally through the Berne Convention, so protection is not limited to the country the work was made in.

Names and logos
Anonium™ and Modullium™, together with the Anonium logo and the Nymous character designs, are trade marks of Modullium, used in connection with our software and merchandise. Rights in unregistered marks are claimed and reserved.
You may not use our names or logos in a way that suggests we made, endorsed, sponsored or partnered on something we did not — including in an app name, a product name, a store name, a domain, a social handle or a logo of your own.
What you may do without asking
None of this needs our permission, and we would rather you did it than not:
- write about Anonium, review it, criticise it, or teach with it;
- use unaltered screenshots of the app in an article, video, review or presentation;
- link to anonium.app and to any page on it;
- use our name to refer to us accurately, in plain text, in the ordinary way one names a product; and
- share your own Anonium link and your own conversations — those are yours, not ours.
What needs our permission
- Merchandise of any kind. Printing, embroidering, moulding, engraving or otherwise reproducing the Nymous characters, the logo or the name on clothing, stickers, cases, posters, toys, prints or any other physical or digital product — whether you sell it, give it away or make one for yourself to sell later.
- Selling or licensing the characters or artwork, in whole or in part, including as digital goods, avatars, emote or sticker packs, templates, game assets or tokens.
- Altering the characters or making new artwork derived from them, then treating the result as your own.
- Using them as your identity — as a brand, logo, mascot, channel avatar or profile image for a product, business or service.
- Redistributing our assets — uploading our SVGs, icons or illustrations to asset libraries, marketplaces, template packs or clip-art collections.
- Implying association with Anonium or Modullium where none exists.
Non-commercial fan art, made and shared for enjoyment and not sold, is welcome. Credit us and do not present it as official. If money changes hands, it is no longer fan art and the list above applies.
Merchandise
Official Anonium merchandise comes only from Modullium, or from a manufacturer or storefront we have appointed in writing. Anything else featuring the Nymous characters or our marks is unauthorised, however it is described.
If you are unsure whether something you have found is official, ask us before buying it.
Datasets and AI training
We do not permit our artwork, characters, interface, code or written content to be scraped, collected or included in datasets used to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning or generative models, nor to be used to produce imagery in the style of, or depicting, the Nymous characters. This applies to commercial and research use alike, and is withheld expressly rather than by omission.
Reporting misuse
If you find our characters, artwork, name or logo being used on merchandise, in a store listing, in an app, or anywhere else without permission, please tell us. Send what you can — a link, a screenshot, a seller or shop name — to [email protected] with “IP” in the subject line.
Reports from the public are often how this comes to light at all, and we are grateful for them.
Licensing and permission
Permission is sometimes given — for a collaboration, a press feature needing more than a screenshot, an academic use, or a merchandise partnership. It is given in writing and never implied by silence, by the absence of a reply, or by anything appearing on this page.
Write to [email protected] with “Licensing” in the subject line, describing what you want to use, where it would appear, and for how long.
Contact and reservation of rights
All intellectual property questions go to [email protected].
Nothing on this page, and nothing in the app or on this website, grants any licence or right in our intellectual property by implication, estoppel or otherwise. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved. This page may be updated; the effective date above identifies the current version.
