Sponsor Anonium

One quiet placement, in an app with no ad network, no trackers and no audience data behind it. Reviewed by a person before it ever runs.

Sponsor is not Supporter

Two different things share a similar word, so to be plain about it:

  • A Supporter is someone using Anonium who pays a small subscription. It unlocks appearance options and a custom @username; every feature that matters stays free. They are a user.
  • A Sponsor is a business that pays to show one reviewed placement inside the app. They are not a user, they are not a partner, and they have no relationship with anyone who sees their placement.
The short version: Supporters keep the lights on from the inside. Sponsors help from the outside. Neither one owns any part of this.

The placement

A single dismissible panel inside the app. It appears at most once a day per person — we can set the frequency lower — never during a conversation, and it closes immediately. That is the entire format. There are no banners, no interstitials, and nothing that follows a person around.

The artwork is the whole placement. Tapping it opens your destination in the phone's browser; there is no separate button and no second step.

Artwork specification

  • Dimensions: 1080 × 1920 px (9:16 portrait)
  • Format: PNG or JPG
  • File size: 400 KB maximum
  • Safe area: keep text at least 60 px from every edge
  • One destination URL, served over HTTPS
  • Optional message: up to 60 characters, shown beneath the image. Leave it out and the panel is artwork alone.

Artwork is cached on the device before the panel is shown, so it never renders half-loaded. Replacing artwork after approval is possible and takes effect within a day.

Reach and reporting

You choose the run dates and roughly how many people you would like to reach. You cannot choose which people, because that capability does not exist here. The only distinction available is whether a placement is shown to everyone, to free users, or to Supporters — and even that is decided on the device, not by us.

You receive two numbers for your campaign: impressions, meaning the panel was shown on a device, and taps, meaning someone opened your link. Both are plain aggregate counts. There are no impressions attributed to individuals, no demographics, no location, no device data, and no tracking parameters appended to your URL. If your own site measures visits, that is between you and your visitors.

What we will not run

  • Adult or sexual content of any kind
  • Gambling, betting, loot boxes or prize draws
  • Cryptocurrency, tokens, trading signals or investment schemes
  • Political campaigning, candidates or referendums
  • Health, medical or supplement claims
  • Loans, debt consolidation or high-interest credit
  • Anything aimed at, or likely to appeal to, under-18s
  • Data brokers, surveillance tools, spyware or “monitoring” apps
  • Anything implying Anonium endorses, verifies or partners with you
  • Misleading claims, fake system dialogs, or artwork disguised as part of the app
  • Anything requiring a person to identify themselves to claim it

Review and approval

Every placement is reviewed by a person before it runs. We are protective of this app and will decline anything that does not fit it, without needing to justify the decision at length. A placement can also be withdrawn mid-campaign if it turns out to misrepresent itself, and the remaining run is refunded.

What sponsorship does not buy

This is the part worth stating outright, because an app about privacy has to be able to answer it:

  • No data about the people who see your placement, in any form, ever.
  • No influence over how Anonium works, what it stores, or what it refuses to store.
  • No say in the privacy policy, the terms, or the moderation standards.
  • No exclusivity, no category lock, and no claim on the product's direction.
  • No endorsement. A placement is space on a screen, not our recommendation.

Anonium is not run by committee and is not for sale to the people who advertise in it. If sponsorship ever started to shape the product, we would stop taking it.

Get in touch

Tell us what you have in mind and we will say honestly whether it fits before discussing anything else. Most answers come back within a couple of days.

Write to [email protected] with “Sponsorship” in the subject line, and include who you are and what the product or message is, the artwork or a rough idea of it, the destination URL, your preferred run dates, and roughly how many people you would like to reach.

Sponsorship is what keeps Anonium free of trackers and data collection. We treat that as a responsibility to the people using it, which is why the rules on this page are firm.
